Honest ATS scores: why we show you the number

A 0–100 match score with the missing keywords called out. No flattery — just the signal you need before you hit submit.

Honest ATS scores: why we show you the number

Most resume tools are incentivized to make you feel good. Upload a document, and a cheerful gauge swings to 92%. You feel ready. You apply. You hear nothing.

A score is only useful if it can hurt

Perfecto gives every tailored resume an honest 0–100 match score against the job description — and just as importantly, it lists the missing keywords: the requirements the posting asks for that your Vault doesn't yet support.

If you genuinely haven't done something, we won't invent it to pad the number. A 64 that tells you the truth is worth more than a 92 that flatters you into a rejection.

What to do with the number

Treat the missing-keywords list as a checklist, not a fill-in-the-blanks. Where you have real, relevant experience that simply wasn't surfaced, add it to your Vault and re-tailor. Where you don't, that gap is real information — about this role, or about what to learn next.

Honest signal in. Better decisions out.
